This exclusive release adds another dimension to the cover’s headline, “From Portugal With Love.”

The traditional sweetheart handkerchiefs from the Minho region were used by young women of marriageable age, who would poetically embroider them with verses and symbolic drawings. The purpose was to offer them to their beloved—either as a keepsake if he was leaving or even as a way of winning his heart.

These particular handkerchiefs, meticulously embroidered by Isilda Parente, are original pieces created exclusively for Vogue Portugal. Available only in our online store, this limited edition is not just a tribute to the past, but also a celebration of the traditions that continue to shape our future.
